Description
This is a 25-watt submersible heater designed for smaller aquariums.
Here is a quick guide on how to set it up safely and what to keep in mind for your fish:
-
Placement: Attach it to the glass using the suction cups. It’s best placed near a filter or air stone so that the water flow distributes the heat evenly.
-
Water Level: Ensure the heater is submerged to the “minimum water level” line (usually marked on the glass). It is generally safer to keep these fully submerged horizontally or vertically.
-
The “15-Minute Rule”: After placing it in the water, wait 15 minutes before plugging it in. This allows the glass to adjust to the water temperature and prevents it from cracking due to thermal shock.
-
Maintenance: Always unplug the heater and wait 15 minutes for it to cool down before doing a water change or removing it from the tank.
